The Combination and Key Points:
We talk about Kaitlin a lot on the podcast, so we wanted to give her a chance to come on and talk about her role at B.A. Schrock Financial Group and what it’s like working with family.
Kaitlin is the company’s director of operations and has a background in marketing and public relations. While Ben handles the financial planning side of the business, Kaitlin keeps everything organized and running smoothly.
“That’s probably the number one question we get: ‘What is it like to work with your spouse?’” Kaitlin said. “I think it works for us because we stay in our individual lanes and know when the other person needs the other one to back off a little bit, and we respect that.
Sometimes, their co-worker roles bleed over into their personal life. Conversations at work often continue at dinner and after the kids are in bed.
“We definitely have to work on our boundaries about when we cut work off and just enjoy being together,” Kaitlin said.
On today’s episode, Ben and Kaitlin talk about working with your spouse, who handles their family’s finances, how Kaitlin helps the B.A. Schrock team and what family traditions they have.
